When we moved from NJ to Manhattan KS because of Dad’s job, we lived in the Wareham Hotel on Poyntz Ave for around 6 weeks before Mom & Dad found this house. Too small for a family of 8! There was lots of renovations…as there were when Tom & I bought it from Mom’s estate in 2002. It was a lovely spot but no one in the family wanted to buy it when it was time for us to go. A professor of Horticultural at KSU and his wife bought it. Dad would be happy to see his dream of fruit trees growing on one of the terraces…and producing fruit!!
