La Purisima

I chose not to look for theatre work when Rob was reassigned to California. One day I saw a notice looking for living history docents at the Spanish mission not far from the base. So I applied, studied the history of La Purisima when it was active. There was no pay and only one stipulation …making my own costume! I didn’t mind not making money…I loved the storytelling, the beautiful grounds, learning how to work the big loom, making baskets etc…I loved the place and I still hold a part of it within me.
