Embodied Storytelling
I was very shy and introverted growing up. Discovering I could act was like finding gold! The words in the script directed me to be anyone but the bashful woman I knew myself to be. A brash Ouiser in Steel Magnolias, a grounded Titania in Midsummer Night's Dream, a misguided bitter nun in Doubt ... it seemed like a miracle to me! Even auditions were fun for me. Films were much easier on the nerves. I only had bit parts in three independent ones but it was still storytelling and that was and is where my heart lies.
